What a session is like
You sit or lie comfortably while the laser head is moved over the area. Most people feel only gentle warmth, and a session usually takes a few minutes. You wear protective eyewear during treatment. The number of sessions depends on your condition and how you respond, and we review this with you as we go.
Who it may not suit
K-Laser isn't suitable for everyone. For example, it is not used over the abdomen during pregnancy, over the eyes, or over certain areas in people with some medical conditions. The doctor checks this during your assessment.
Common questions
Does it hurt?
Most people feel a mild, comfortable warmth. Tell us straight away if it feels too warm.
Is it used on its own?
Usually not. At AZA it is one part of a plan that may also include medication, physiotherapy and exercises at home.
Can I have it without seeing the doctor first?
We always start with an assessment, so the doctor can confirm it is suitable and safe for you.
